Medicom Ed

It's time for a Halloween photo shoot so I took my Medicom Ed out from a storage box. To my horror, the black dye from his clothes has bled onto his body!!!!!! AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!!!

There was some glue on his underpants from the beginning. Afraid of scratching the paint, I left it alone. And now, guess what? The glue must have reacted with the pant's fabric and became very gooey. Fibers got stuck to it. Of course scraping it off has taken some paint off too. (T_T)

It's mostly the black clothes that left marks because it's on the inside. I'm sure if it was the red coat, the damage would have been disastrous. Right now, and luckily, the only red stain is a small spot on Ed's hand.

Aaaaawwww.... (T_T)

Happy Valentine's Day!

OMG! Look at the colour difference on the box! The one on the right is taken with my 7-year-old camera. The other one is with a new camera. Somehow the Al pictures I took with the new camera were all blurred. Wonder why... (T_T)

Aaaargh!!! Blogger is malfunctioning again! I can't change the free Chinese new year picture to Valentine's! (T_T)

Pre-Halloween...

The mystery object works with Medicom Ed, yay~!!!
The witch hat is from Nagato Pinky. Matches well with Ed's default black outfit. The pumpkins are light covers from last year. I didn't have time to trim off the tuby top.

Link restored

OK... the ad attack lasted only one day. And I can log on without problem now. Just base on the fact that I was prevented from logging in, I think the whole ordeal was intentional, and done by Bytehost. Sigh... am I allowed to say anything? It's free after all, but there still need to be a basic level of trust, which they're loosing by doing stuff like this.

Happy summer 2008!

Didn't know unagi don is a summer dish. It's supposed to give you more energy to survive the heat. Thanks Sora for the toy. (^_^)

Although the food is the same, when it's a round bowl, it's called unadon. When it's in a square box, it's called unajyu. Apparently you're supposed to eat from the left. Aww, too complicated.

Ed with Masked Rider

Another old photo from the trip. My friend in Hong Kong is a Masked Rider fan. (Plus old fashion robots and super hero etc.) He owns a lot of such action figures so I brought my Ed figure along when I visited him. Thus this picture. (Yay~ Ed looks so tall! Hahaha!)

It was funny how he handled Ed. My first hands-on experience was at the FMA party with my blog friends. I was presented the figure and was encouraged to undress him. (Well, all "rotten girl" wants to see what's underneath Ed's pants.) Then I bought one myself 2 days later and showed it to my traveling companion. She was satisfied by just peeping at the boxer and didn't remove any clothing.

Next would be my manga buddy in Hong Kong. She's a huge SD fan who owns over a dozen of those expensive dolls. The way she handled Ed was totally different. You can tell she's an expert of dolls. And, of course, Ed was stripped bare. Well, my friend was studying the clothes too, since she makes her own doll clothes. However, she's also a self-proclaimed rotten girl. So the photo-shoot later resulted in a few slightly biased pictures.

Last was the guy friend. Knowing he's into action figures, I told him that he was free to strip Ed, but he didn't. Instead, he felt the joints and construction from the outside and didn't remove a single piece of clothing. Maybe he was shy, or maybe guys in general don't care if the doll is wearing underwear.

"Central"

Wow! These were sitting in the folder for a whole year! They weren't date-stamped, but the files were named 070228! Can't believe I completely forgot to post them! (T_T)
These were from my Japan/ Hong Kong trip one year ago. After getting the Medicom Ed figure in Japan, I had been dying to take a picture of it in Central (Hong Kong), preferably daytime and outdoor, in front of a street sign. Too bad I ran out of time, and the last resort was the MTR station. It was the night before my flight. I was alone. (Meaning, no one to help me hold the figure.) But if I don't do it, I don't know when I'd be back next. So, 11:15 pm, at the Central station, a suspicious female was seen taking picture of a doll.
I thought I was immune to blushing. Wrong. It really put my ego to test. It was like, what the heck, no body knows me anyway, but Ed's colour scheme is so recognizable, it was clear what I was doing, and it was super embarrassing. My face was burning all that time. I chose the far end of the train and waited until the area cleared out. Knowing all the time that I was probably monitored. Not to mention the staff on duty in his box half way down the platform. Each train only allowed me 2 or 3 shots and not every train was clear enough. I was there for a good 15 or 20 minutes and didn't get harassed. Amazing. Although I'm pretty sure that guy must have been laughing at me.
When I was done in Central and started making my way back, I realized there was another station that might worth a shot. It was only one stop away from my destination, so why not? Thought it would be easier the second time, wrong again. Could not stop my face from burning. (>_<;)

Well, the lighting was pretty bad, so among all the pictures I've taken, not a single one was satisfactory. (Plus my hands were trembling.) Imaging holding out the figure with one hand and try to study the camera with the other. Nevertheless I tried my best. These pictures you see here had to be colour corrected since they were too dim.

Medicom

orz

orz

Ed lost his head (and cloths)

The cold is about the same. Still surfing. And found this on Yahoo Japan auction. Someone took Ed's head and cloths, and sells the remain at 5000 yen. The above text links to the actual auction but it expires in less than a day, so I took a screen shot and linked it to the picture as a back-up.
